Week 12 NFL Thursday Prediction

Steelers(-3.5) vs Browns @ Huntington Bank Field Cleveland Ohio 7:15pm CDT Prime Video

The 1st place Steelers face the Browns who are really struggling this season in all phases of the game on Offense, Defense and Special Teams and are 2-8. Last year the Browns beat the Steelers in Cleveland by the score of 13 – 10 with Kenny Pickett as QB and Matt Canada as Offensive coordinator. Canada was fired after that game and Pickett is no longer on the team and traded to the Eagles in the offseason. The Steelers signed Russell Wilson after being released by the Broncos this past offseason and they also hired Arthur Smith as the new OC.

Hard to believe the Steelers have never won a road, divisional Thursday Night Football game. They’re 0-7 all-time and 0-5 under Mike Tomlin. This may explain why this spread is so low at -3.5. My power rankings have the Steelers as a 7.5 point favorite and I am more than willing to lay the 3.5 on the Steelers tonight on the road. In the NFL this season the road team favorites thru week 12 are 36 -25 ATS covering at 59% clip this season. This Browns team finds more ways to lose than to win and have been a losing ticket all year as they are a mediocre 3-7 ATS overall this season and 1-4 as a home team ATS. I will take the the Steelers as a favorite with the 4th ranked defense in the NFL with the superior special teams and so so offense over the the worst ranked offense in the NFL to buck the trends and go to 9-2 and march closer to the AFC North division crown.
